Our Story
Marketing For Schools was set up in 2011 to fill a gap we kept seeing: schools needed marketing support, but most agencies treated them like any other small business client. A school isn't a shop or a startup. It has term dates, governor approval processes, safeguarding obligations and an audience of parents who are making one of the biggest decisions they'll make for their child. We built our business around that reality rather than around generic marketing services.
That's why we work across photography, video, design, signage, social media and strategy as one connected team, rather than as separate departments. A school's prospectus, website, signage and social media should all say the same thing about who they are, and that consistency is far easier to achieve when one team has shot the photography, written the messaging and designed the print.

We understand how schools actually run day to day. Filming and photography are planned around lessons and assemblies, never against them. We know who needs to sign off on imagery, how to work sensitively around safeguarding requirements, and how to keep disruption to staff and pupils to a minimum, because we've been doing this in real classrooms since 2011.
Over that time we've worked with primary schools, secondary schools, academies and SEN settings across Kent, Canterbury, Thanet and the wider South East. Each setting has different priorities, and we tailor our approach to what each school actually needs rather than offering one fixed package.
